Canva

Canva is a free, cloud-based program that provides a graphic design platform with tools for creating graphics, presentations, banners, and buttons. Participants should create a free .edu account with their Collin.edu email before attending a Canva workshop.

  • Learning Objectives:
    • Recall the basic features and capabilities of Canvas Studio.
    • Apply knowledge of Studio recording feature to record a video.
    • Practice uploading an mp4 files into Studio. 
    • Demonstrate ability to share Studio video throughout a course.

Creating Accessible Documents (Zoom)

    • Check accessibility of Microsoft Office documents including Word and PowerPoint.
    • Utilize Microsoft accessibility tools to make documents accessible to all learners.

Microsoft Office Series, Level 1

    • Enter and format data in an Excel workbook with basic formulas
    • Create a new Word document with text and formatting
    • Use Microsoft Outlook to send email, create calendar events, and organize contacts

  • Time: 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

  • Learning Objectives:
    • Utilize Excel to organize data with filters, create visualizations with Excel data. 
    • Apply advanced formatting techniques using page elements, tables, and images.
    • Develop an informative and interesting presentation in PowerPoint
  • Advanced registration is not required.

Microsoft Office Series, Level 3

  • Time: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

  • Learning Objectives:
    • Create a Team with private channels.
    • Upload and share document with OneDrive and SharePoint.
    • Develop a Bookings page to organize and manage appointments.
