Overview
The purpose of Collin College’s Wellness Time is to provide an incentive to participate in wellness programming. Full-time faculty and staff may participate in any wellness or exercise programs and receive matched time for their wellness efforts.
Participation Guidelines
For every 30 minutes of exercise by a faculty/staff employee, the college will match 30 minutes of additional exercise time, within the following limits:
- College-contributed time and employee-contributed time must be taken on the same day.
- For hourly employees, the 30-minute wellness leave time must be recorded in Workday.
- Wellness time is limited to 30-minute intervals, up to three times weekly (one and one-half hours weekly maximum for college's contribution).
- College-contributed time is based on operational availability* and should be discussed
with and approved by the supervisor, in advance.
*Employees are not guaranteed Wellness Time. It may not be available if the department does not have staffing to allow for wellness time, during periods of busy activity, or when special projects/events are scheduled.

The following examples are for illustration only. These may not represent available Wellness Time schedule options in your department. Wellness Time is subject to supervisory approval and based on operational needs.
Recording Wellness Time in Workday for Non-Exempt Employees
Employees who clock in and out will need to record Wellness Time in Workday by following these easy instructions.
