The Collin County Community College District (CCCCD) policies
regarding appointment and employment of faculty and staff
are clearly defined in legal references through the CCCCD
Board of Trustees policies (References 1,
2, 3, 4) relating to equal employment opportunity,
verification of employment eligibility, new employee reporting
requirements of the state, recruiting and hiring processes,
employment contracts, and non-contract, at-will employment.
Recruiting and hiring guidelines are also published on the
Human Resources Web site under CCCCD Procedures and Guidelines
for Faculty and Staff. These include Search Committee Guidelines,
Staff Employee Selection Guidelines, and the Affirmative
Employment Plan (References 5, 6, 7).
These policies and guidelines clearly identify and define
the employment processes used by the District to fill the
many positions available within the College each year. They
are designed to help the College conduct its hiring processes
in a manner consistent with applicable federal and state
laws and are implemented to assist the District in hiring
individuals who are well qualified and skilled to help the
District meet its strategic goals and to fulfill its mission.
