Who can nominate?

Nominations may be submitted by any full- or part-time staff or faculty member.

Who can be nominated?

The individual must be a student employee who worked a minimum of six months part-time during the selection period.

Nomination Forms

The nomination form will be made available in the spring semester and publicized district-wide. All nomination forms will be kept confidential.

Multiple nominations for a single candidate will be accepted, but nominations must be submitted by an individual. No group or departmental nominations will be accepted.

Selection of Finalists and Winners

Selection for the SEOTY Award is a confidential process with names removed from the nomination forms prior to evaluation to ensure that each student employee is evaluated purely on achievement.  The SEOTY committee, after reading all nominations, determines the finalists and winners.

Recognition Announcements and Presentations

All eligible nominees are recognized, and the winner is announced at the SEOTY Award Ceremony held during the spring semester.

The winner receives public recognition, a copy of their nomination and an official Collin College diploma frame. The winner also advances for consideration at the regional and/or national level of the National Student Employee Association Awards.
