The essential function (Reference 1) of the Collin County Community College District’s (CCCCD) President/Chief Executive Officer is to operate the District within guidelines established by the Board of Trustees and in compliance with state and federal laws and local CCCCD Board policy (Reference 2). The President does not serve as the presiding officer of the CCCCD Board (Reference 3). The CCCCD Board elects from within its membership an individual to serve as Chair and presiding officer. The President recommends operational policies to the Board of Trustees for approval, implements district policies, and issues administrative procedures for effective administration of the District, and performs other functions as specified by contract (Reference 4).
