Notes:

When requesting a repair for a printer, fax, or scanner, in the Product Description, please include the make, model, serial number and a description of the problem.

Include in the Product Description  "Department must pre-approve repair price before work begins." and "Contact (person's name, 10-digit phone number, and room number) to schedule repair."  If there is not enough room in Product Description to provide all the required information, continue the information in the External Notes.

The following is provided for informational purposes only and is not required on the requisition.

Services will be ordered on an "As Required Basis."

All replacement parts shall be new parts.

Vendor must inform District department if repair cost will exceed half  the replacement cost before proceeding with repair.

Call backs within 1 week for repair of same machine with same problem shall be at no cost to the District

Rate per trip (includes any travel costs and first hour labor):

Printers:  $25.00

Copiers:  $35.00

Scanners:  $25.00

Facsimiles (Fax):  $25.00

Changes after the first hour are to be in quarter hour increments; quarter hour after first hour @ $10.00 per quarter hour.

Repair Monday-Friday AFTER 5 pm:  $40

Repair Weekend:  $40

The District, at its discretion, may request a copy of the parts invoice for review.

Response Time:

Next day service:  Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

When the costs for the printer repair are known,
a change order should be done to the original purchase order
to reflect the total charges for parts and labor before a receiver is done.


If the price is more than half the cost to replace the machine,
refuse the repair, pay the service call, and order a new machine
from the
 Fax/Printer/Scanner General Information page.
