Summer Work Schedule (May 19, 2025 - August 1, 2025)
Collin College is pleased to implement the Summer Work Schedule. Beginning the week of May 19 through August 1, the college will close at noon on Fridays. All employees will continue to work 40 hours per week.
The standard summer schedule will be:
Monday–Thursday: 9 hours per day
Friday: 4 hours (A.M. half day)
If an employee receives prior approval from their supervisor to take the entire Friday off, they must use 4 hours of leave time.
If an employee has approval to work an 8 ½ hour day, they will need to use 2 hours of leave time to work 40 hours per week, which is a total of 20 hours for the summer.

**PLEASE NOTE: The option to work four 10-hour days is no longer approved during the summer.**
Additional Information
Employees must submit their proposed summer work schedule to their supervisor no later than May 2.
Supervisors should review and respond to schedule requests by May 16.
The week of the 4th of July will be a regular 8-hour work week, as that Friday is an 8-hour holiday.
