Quality Matters: Improving Your Online CourseNew Workshop

(for Full-Time and Part-Time Faculty)

The Improving Your Online Course workshop explores the QM Rubric and provides a framework to improve the quality of online courses. Participants use the QM Rubric to review their own online courses and develop a course improvement plan.

Quality Matters: Applying the QM Rubric (APPQMR)

(for Full-Time and Part-Time Faculty)

APPQMR (Applying the Quality Matters Rubric) is the Quality Matters (QM) flagship workshop on the QM Rubric, which is used in reviewing the design of online and blended courses. The workshop is designed for all faculty and administrators. It is particularly helpful to those new to QM.

Quality Matters: Intro to Quality Matters (INTRO2QM)

(for staff, Deans, Associate Deans, Directors, and Leadership)

This workshop introduces participants to Quality Matters (QM). A brief overview of QM is provided, followed by an exploration into the question, “Why QM?” QM Rubrics and the different types of course review available are introduced. The workshop culminates in the development of a personal plan for continued engagement with Quality Matters. This course is not intended for faculty.

 NOTE: Workshop fees are only paid by the eLC when faculty and staff register for a workshop using the forms above. If faculty or staff register for a workshop though the QM website, the eLC is not responsible for any associated fees.

Teaching with Canvas at Collin College

The Teaching With Canvas at Collin College self-paced course prepares faculty for the first day of class. In addition, this course will introduce you to the expectations of best practices for effectively teaching online here at Collin College. Whether you are teaching on campus, hybrid/ blended or fully online, this course is for you.

Once you have completed the course, fill out the form at the end in order to receive the certificate of completion.

Together, the Dean / Associate Dean and Instructional Designer will set the day/time and finalize workshop objectives.
